Bentota is stretched out along Sri Lanka's west coast, with a concentration of hotels to the north that progressively thins out as you move south. The long lengths of golden sand are shaded by corkscrew palms, the occasional granite boulder, and little more.
While this is a popular beach destination, there are no beach bars or restaurants along the sand; instead, hotels, villas, and luxury resorts are hidden behind the palms at distinct distances from one another.
